2025 was supposed to be the year for me. The year I smashed my goals, followed my vision boards diligently, and executed my carefully crafted spreadsheets. But then life—well, life had a different plan. And honestly? It knocked me on my ass.

The Year of the Snake Bit Me (Lovingly)
If you’re into Chinese astrology, maybe you’ve heard this: the Year of the Snake is all about transformation. Shedding old skin. Letting go of what no longer serves us. Sounds beautiful, right? Except I didn’t expect it to hurt so much.

Here’s what 2025 really looked like for me:

In 2024, I married the love of my life—the single best decision I’ve ever made. But becoming a stepmom to four kids (yep, from mom of two to stepmom of four!) was no small change. It wasn’t just an adjustment—it was a total identity renovation.

And then, amid the chaos and the beautiful overwhelm, we moved back to Greenville. I tried pivoting into digital courses because, well, “that’s the move.” But it didn’t feel right. It felt like someone else’s business. So I let it go.

There were more pivots. More experiments that didn’t land. More moments when I honestly wondered if maybe I should just quit reinventing the wheel and go get a “real job.”

Yeah. Saying it out loud hurts my soul a little. But here in this space? We’re telling the truth.

But Shedding Isn’t Failing — It’s Making Room
Every mismatch, every “not my thing” business model, every failed experiment stripped something away that wasn’t mine. Someone else’s strategy. Someone else’s idea of success. And with each thing I set down, I got closer to me.

Now, this next phase? It’s a big one. The Fire Horse only comes once every 60 years, and it’s bringing a tidal wave of energy—with passion, bold moves, freedom, and unstoppable momentum.
